Description
Imaged Jupiter June 28th in good seeing but initially poor transparency with all of the Ch4 and some of the 685nm IR data captured through cloud which was moving through quite quickly. That said the 685nm IR data is very good with an excellent depth of quite intricate detail resolved pole to pole and limb to limb. The NEB has considerable fine structure resolved in it while the fine structure resolved within the EZ is exquisite. The SEB structure following the GRS looks particularly interesting, circulation within the GRS is seen and the GRS chimney is open. Two tiny dark spots below and to the F side of the GRS are well resolved as is the dark elongated spot below the GRS in the STZ. Oval BA is well resolved as is the zigzag structure following it. Two small dark spots are seen below Oval BA with one leading and the other trailing it; a small bright oval is well resolved in the SSTB below the GRS. The R, G & B data was not affected by cloud, the R channel resolves all detail described for the IR as does the RGB data other than for the very fine structure seen in the EZ in the IR & R data.
